person Board President, Jeff Rogers
Board Vice President, Karen Rogers

Jeff and Karen Rogers have been the Directors of Legacy International since they founded theorganization in 1987. Their collaboration has produced extremely successful sustainable development initiatives in the fields of rural healthcare, vocational training, orphan care, and feeding programs.

During the worst drought in Zimbabwean history, Karen organized the feeding of over 60,000 rural people per day, mostly children under the age of five. Born and raised in Zimbabwe, her feeding model won Child Legacy International the support and cooperation of the Zimbabwe Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Social Welfare, as well as the British High Commission. In addition, Jeff and Karen have worked with the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Higher Education, the Embassy of the United States of America, and the Canadian High Commission in Zimbabwe for Child Legacy's program development.

Continuing to operate their African humanitarian programs from the United States, in 2001, they left Zimbabwe - their home together for over twenty years - to inform the U.S. State Department of the political, social, and economic destruction precipitated by Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe. Jeff has spent much of the last three years advocating in Washington DC for the Zimbabwe crisis and other internatoinal humanitarian efforts. In doing so, he has earned the admiration and support of multiple Members of Congress and the U.S. African Subcommittee.
